Arriving at Cenote Ik Kil

When you arrive at Cenote Ik Kil you will be greeted with a beautiful sight of yellow bungalows and paths that have yellow rocks smartly aligned on the sides. Swimming in Cenote Ik Kil

You are allowed to swim in the Cenote for a fee of $5 (November 2016 fees). To get to the water hole, visitors go down 26m via steps. The actual water hole is 60 meters wide and 40 meters deep. The water is very blue and clean. If you don’t mind wetting your hair, you can climb a few meters up the side steps and jump in. It is so much fun and the Cenote is deep enough to accommodate any height. If you go in the afternoon, the Cenote can be crowded especially at the water hole where people flock to deep in the water. Usually people will be driving from Chichen Itza hence the reason why the place is crowded in the afternoon.
