Do you have in mind to realize a solo trip? Get inspired by the following six travel movies.
The Motorcycle Diaries (2004)
This movie is about the motorcycle trip made by “El Che” and Granado through South America, in 1952. Across the characters who find in the way they learn about the injustices faced by the poor and living situations of different types, from the most cheerful to the saddest. The experience presents to Guevara and Granado a true image of the Latin American identity and it changes the course of their lives forever.
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013)
I love this film. It is the second adaptation of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty tales published in 1939. Tells the story of a man with a humdrum life, which seeks to get away and really live his life. This movie is full of fun and shows incredible destinations.
Into the wild (2010)
Son of rich parents, Christopher decides to get rid of all his previous life, sells his stuff and part to an adventure in the wilderness of Alaska.
Eat, Pray, Love (2010)
If still you have not read the book or seen the movie, certainly you’ve heard of it. Elizabeth Gilbert, interpreted by Julia Roberts, had everything that a woman could dream: a husband, a beautiful house, and a successful career. But, one day, she wondered what she was really wanting in her life. So decided to leave everything to travel for a year. This decision leads her to Eat in Italy, Pray in India and Love in Bali. Probably the first in my top 6.
This incredible movie tells the story of a young Australian girl that walks from Alice Springs to the Australian Ocean accompanied by his dog and four camels. This film shows us that if we propose something, we will achieve it. It’s based on a real story.
With the dissolution of her marriage and the death of her mother, Cheryl Strayed has lost all hope. After years of reckless, destructive behavior, she makes a rash decision. With absolutely no experience, driven only by sheer determination, Cheryl hikes more than a thousand miles of the Pacific Crest Trail, alone. WILD powerfully captures the terrors and pleasures of one young woman forging ahead against all odds on a journey that maddens, strengthens, and ultimately heals her.
