Traveling is indefinite. It’s Liberation. Exploring. Discovering. Learning. Soul-searching. Enlightening. It’s true when people say that travel is the best teacher in life. School teaches you sorts of important skills but what travel offers can not be compared with anything.
So, here’s a resume of what I learned in few years of traveling:
Less is more. I decided that I’m not going to lose the time waiting for a checked luggage. Do you know how many time we lost waiting for it? So, since my last 2 international trips, I’m traveling with only a carry-on. Time is a treasure, don’t waste it on things that don’t deserve it.
“While you’re waiting for your luggage checked, I’m walking through the street of a paradisiac place”
Don’t let your fears choose for you
Sometimes is better do something that you are afraid than doing something in which you are comfortable. Life’s one, live it.
Trust your instincts
If you are feeling that something it’s not ok, well, it’s not. Go away and stay safe. Nothing better than trust your instincts.
Make copies/scan of all your important documents
For love to your God, never make an international travel if you don’t have to scan all your important documents. Including passport, booking reservation, insurance, and credit cards.
Share with locals
One of our biggest mistakes when traveling is not share with locals. It’s comfy keep talking with your fellows from home, but definitely, it’s better to share your culture and meet the country that you’re visiting with a local, someone who knows about the best rooftop to see beautiful landscapes or a restaurant with the most delightful food in the country. Trust me, you’ll lose if you don’t dare to share with locals.
Just do it
Do you want to go to skiing? GO! Do you want to wander the streets of a place? GO AHEAD! Don’t let anyone stop you from your next adventure. You’ll lose a lot of time trying to find the Perfect Trip Partner but you won’t find it unless you learn that the perfect trip partner is only you.
