You don’t need a tour guide to discover the city and there is not somewhere to get lost all you need is a map to know where best places are located and go and spend a good time there!

Visiting Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes will be an amazing part of your holiday in Toledo. This monastery is literally a piece of art, every corner of the monastery was crafted with an artistic taste. Plus the garden in the middle of the monastery gives it a breathtaking view.

Muralla de Toledo is somewhere you don’t wanna miss in Toledo and as I told you in the beginning, this city will take you back in time to live in Medieval times. Well, this place, Muralla, is the top when it comes to Medieval architecture. It is a small town surrounded with a huge wall made out of giant gray rocks. The doors to the town are really big and make you feel really small. Inside the town there is almost no sign of civilized architecture, only old buildings and tiny beautiful streets with traditional shops.

An ancient city is not that perfect until there is an old bridge made out of square rocks somewhere around. Alcantara Bridge is the perfect bridge built on Medieval times and still standing till this day. The bridge has a wonderful view in the valley and the river beneath it. It is a perfect place to attend sunset and watch a pleasant view.

Renting a bike in Toledo is one of the best things that will help you discover the city in a wonderful way. You can rent a bike for a cheap price and have an amazing tour especially if you have company with you. There are roads dedicated for bikers and also there are some tiny streets that you will not be able to ride your car through them. So bikes are better and cheaper! The best times to have a tour with your bike is in the morning or the evening, try to avoid noon as much as you can so you not be affected by hot sun and get the chance to enjoy all the breathtaking views around the city!
The city is a good holiday destination all year around because it is a place to discover not a resort to have leisure time on the beach or at the pool.
