Fitness in Dubai with GuavaPass and SpeedFlex

If you follow our adventures, you will know that keeping fit is something we pride ourselves on and a part of our daily routine we look forward to the most (except the early morning sessions ?)

When we first arrived in Dubai, we were a little concerned that Dubai didn’t have a Fitness culture and it was just all work and no play. We could not have been more wrong about that!

One of the first apps we downloaded was GuavaPass. This app gives us access to XXX Gyms in Dubai. This mean virtually all of their gym sessions as well. So much choice!  Not only that, the app you can use in 9 other countries as well. With our busy travel schedules, training while in the road is a huge benefit for us. That means you have access to so many gyms in the world

Here is a screenshot of what the app looks like:

As you can see there are plenty of gyms and even more options as to what you can do. All you do is choose the where and when, then you are working out!

Some gyms we recommend for you to try out that we really enjoyed are:

The Warehouse Gym, Speedflex, The Platform and Iconic Fitness are great, but there are so so many more to try out!

During one of our GuavaPass scans for awesome classes, Speedflex kept popping up at really convenient times, ie. before and after our working hours. They also had high intensity workouts that varied in time (from 30-60mins) so we were able to pop in for quick sessions if need be. On top of that, they have underground parking in JBR, something that is really rare for a gym. It was all enough to convince us to go and try it out.

We were welcomed by Kayleigh, the Manager of Speedflex, who took us through an introductory lesson of how to use the machines. After that we were instantly hooked.

Why is Speedflex different to other gyms??

The high intensity workouts are great, but it is the machines that are used that make this place unique. The machines are able to do dozens of different exercises and you can change the resistance to whatever your levels are.

Another unique concept it has are the heart rate monitors. There is a big screen on the wall which shows you how hard you are working. This is an excellent motivational tool to push hard as well and monitoring your fitness. If you are competitive like we are, we always battle each other to burn the most calories in a session.

Just after starting Speedflex, I tore my ACL and was very cautious about returning to high intensity workouts. The team at Speedflex modified all the fitness sessions I attended to make sure I was looking after my leg

Fitness is alive and kicking in Dubai, and these are the two main ways we stay fit. Guavapass is a terrific way to access dozens of different gyms and fitness sessions a day. They offer so much variation you can never get bored.

Make sure you check out the GuavaPass website and download the app to see the how many gyms you can visit all over Dubai. Here is the link to directly check out SpeedFlex.
