Why should I vote Jejomar Binay?

Well known facts on Binay:

Binay already has P60 million under his name based on his SALN.
Binay has been in politics since 1986.
He grew up poor after his parents died then later on adopted by his uncle Ponciano Binay.
He’s currently holding the 2nd highest position in the country as a vice president.

With the death of his parents, he grew up working for himself in order for him to be able to continue his studies which is certainly a good trait as it simply means he’s persistent ever since he’s still a kid. Binay was appointed by Corazon Aquino when the former mayor of Makati died and has been a mayor for 2 decades. The common perception is that Binay brought Makati to what it is today, the richest city in the country.

Him being a mayor of Makati for 2 decades made him rich. How can someone as poor as Binay was during his educational years ended up being one of the richest families in the country? All of the other rags to riches story always involve them holding major businesses like SM, Jollibee, etc.

Ayala Corporation was responsible in developing the central business district of Makati and residential subdivisions. In the 1960s, Makati’s land value is already high making it a rich city regardless on who manages it.

Binay has countless of Corruption Allegations Including what transpired in the P2.7 billion Makati City Hall Parking building. In comparison, several expensive buildings in Makati which are 4 times its height costs the same. Even the London City Hall costs the same, see them below (London City Hall is the spiraled building)

There are numerous corruption allegations including 3 million pesos/month for 600 ghost employees, 2 condo units in Rockwell Makati costing 30 million, 400-hectare farm in Rosario Batangas, 40-hectare farm in Bauan Batangas, 10-hectare mango orchard, 3-storey mansion with elevator in Makati and several house and lots not mentioned in his P60-million SALN.

He’s the top spender in the Presidential campaign as he spent more than P1 billion in pre-election political ads alone. See the story here.

Multiple charges of corruption coming from different sources, huge increase in wealth without clear source and spending billions of pesos in political ads are red flags for me. How could I choose him to hold the top position if he did such things as a city mayor? Him being in a higher position will only make himself richer at the cost of our taxes.
