Whirlpool Hybrid Heating

For colder climates, a Whirlpool® hybrid heating system, including a gas furnace, Heat pump and coil, offers the flexibility of dual fuel sources to establish and maintain a comfortable indoor environment with optimal energy efficiency.

What is Hybrid Heating?
Whirlpool® hybrid heating systems consist of an electric heat pump and a gas furnace that alternately work to maintain desired indoor temperature and humidity levels year-round. When moderate heating is required, the system selects the heat pump as the most energy-efficient source of heat. On colder days, the system automatically switches to the gas furnace for more economical heating efficiency. During warm weather, the heat pump reverses its cycle and functions as a central air conditioner.

Whirlpool ENERGY STAR AIR CONDITIONER:
The efficiency of an air conditioner is determined by the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) rating. The higher the SEER rating, the greater the efficiency and the more the potential for savings on energy costs. Whirlpool brand air conditioners range in efficiency from 13 to 18 SEER. While the 13 SEER product saves remarkable amounts of energy, the ENERGY STAR qualified 18 SEER unit is our most energy-efficient air conditioner currently available.

Whirlpool Heat Pumps - Energy Star Heat Pumps:
A heat pump uses the difference between the outdoor and indoor temperatures to cool and heat your home. Because it moves rather than generates heat it can provide more energy than it consumes. For moderate climates, heat pumps offer an energy-efficient solution for indoor climate control.

Whirlpool Packaged Units:
A Whirlpool® packaged unit helps maximize indoor living space because the mechanical components of the cooling and heating system are combined in a single cabinet that is placed outdoors. Installation for these multi-functional units can be at ground level or on a rooftop.

Whirlpool Gas Furnaces:
The furnace is the most common residential heating system in the United States. If your furnace is more than 10 years old, upgrading to an eco-friendly system will not only reduce your energy use, but can also help you save money on utility bills.
