Ever wonder what it takes to get on Shark Tank? Or better yet, become a shark?

You’ve got to be willing to Hustle. In a recent Medium article, Idea Buyer VP shares her thoughts on Hustle:

“It’s one of those things that everyone is capable of, yet so few people choose to do. Successful entrepreneurs don’t quit, they never stop hustling…

Take any of the sharks on Shark Tank, for example. How did each of them get there? Hustle. You know what they are all STILL doing? Hustling. Each of them are continuing to grow their own Brand and simultaneously growing other brands.

At 64 years old, with a net worth of over $400 million, Kevin O’Leary recently started a podcast, “Ask Mr. Wonderful”. If you haven’t listened in yet, we highly recommend it. He also seemed to personally be running his own Instagram account… Hustle.

Barbara Corcoran, at age 68, took part in Dancing with the Stars. WHY? There’s the possibility that it was because she loves dancing. I am going to lean towards the chance that it was an opportunity for more people to know who she was, thus building her brand. Hustle.

Owner of the Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban, has a net worth of 3.7 Billion. Yes, with a “B”. At 60 (looking good, Mark!), he continues to build his brand, running multiple companies and regularly sitting court side screaming at officials for bad calls. Pure hustle.

Sharks aside, the rise of social media has made it possible to build a brand with blood, sweat, tears and hustle.

Gary Vee, someone I would call a mega-content producer, lives to hustle. He eats and breathes hustle. If you don’t know what I mean, spend an hour on his Instagram account.

You are your business. If you are half-assing what you are putting in, you’re likely to get a half-assed return.”
