However, even if you’re in the limited 19% of the population that backs up once a week, there’s still no guarantee that your phone data is secure. For complete peace of mind when it comes to your data, you’re going to need some highly-featured software to help.

How to Recover Your Data Using dr.fone – Recover (Android)

Now, you’re probably thinking; ‘It’s all well and good having such sophisticated and fully-featured software at your fingertips, but how do I use it?” Of course, the software can only go as far as you can use it.

That’s why Wondershare have gone above and beyond when it comes to user experience. In fact, you can see how easy it is to recover your data using dr.fone – Recover (Android) in just three simple steps;

Note: For this process to work, you need to make sure that USB debugging is enabled on your Android phone. For this, head to Settings > Developer Options. If the option is hidden, tap the ‘build number’ seven times for developer options to appear.

IMPORTANT: When you’re recovering data on your device, you’ll want to make sure that you start as soon as you realise your data is missing. This is because Android devices are writing to their memory databases constantly and using your device will only increase the chances of your data being overwritten.

Step #1 – Installing dr.fone – Recover (Android)

Make your way over to the dr.fone – Recover (Android) website and choose your download preferences. Once the file has downloaded, double-click it to open it and follow the on-screen instructions to install the software to your computer. Once completed, open dr.fone – Recover (Android).

Step #2 – Setting Up Your Device

On the main menu, click the ‘Recover’ option and then connect your Android device using a USB cable.

Next, select which type of recovery process you wish to run, either from the device, the SD card or a broken device. You’ll then be able to choose what kind of files you want to restore.

Note: This is what you’ll see if your device is rooted. In the event that your device isn’t rooted, you’ll see two options; ‘Scan for deleted files’ and ‘Scan for all files’, which will include existing files (see below).

After you’ve selected your files, click ‘Next’, and the software will start to scan your device.

Step #3 – Scanning Your Data Files

The scanning process will take several minutes to scan your device for your files, but can be longer if you’ve selected a lot of files. The results of the scan will begin to show up in the results window.

If you see the file or folder that you want to restore, you can pause the scan to stop it halfway through. Otherwise, you can wait until the end.

Step #4 – Recovering Your Lost Photos

You’ll see all the potentially lost and deleted files you’ll want to restore. The menu on the left-hand side will allow you to filter your results by file type, or you can use the search bar.

Tick the boxes of the files you want to restore, click ‘Recover to Computer’ and your files and folders will be restored to your computer, ready for you to use as before!

As you can see, dr.fone – Recover (Android) is an all-around, easy-to-use data recovery solution that has you covered. Even if you find yourself in a situation where you’ve lost your phone data, and you haven’t got your information backed up, dr.fone – Recover (Android) has got you covered.
