Speedtest.net by Ookla is one of the most visited website for checking the internet speed. The service is also available as an app across all mobile platforms and you can check broadband speeds easily by opening Speedtest.net on your browser.

Now Ookla has launched a new Google Chrome extension which can quickly check the speeds.

The advantage of having the extension is that you do not have to open a new tab and type the URL and then start the test. You can quickly take a Speedtest directly from your Google Chrome toolbar to quickly test your internet performance without interruption.

You can also measure how fast the pages you visit load with Web Speed.
