The latest mobiles are coming with extreme power and packing large batteries in it. Some of them support the latest fast-charging technology. But the most common complaint we often do about our smartphone is its overheating issue. The smartphone experiences over heat issue during charging, using heavy apps, or playing/recording 4K content.

The overheating of a smartphone causes due to a hardware issue in most cases, but there are several things which compel the heat to your smartphone. Here are some tips which can prevent the overheating of your smartphone.

  1. Remove the case

Smartphone cases and covers are cool. They add extra protection and ensure the safety of your device. But, keeping the smartphone in cover cases lock-in the heat emitted out from the device. Removing such cover will help to reduce the overheating in some cases.

  1. Charging smartphones overnight

Smartphone charging is a headache to many. Many of us charge the smartphone overnight. Leaving the smartphone on charge overnight heats up the device and affect the efficiency of your smartphone battery in a long run as well.

  1. Kill heavy apps

There are several apps which heavily consumes the processing power along with graphics. Such apps might heat up the handset. These apps keep running in the background and cause the processing power drains out. Constant overload of processing power causes overheating of any Android smartphone or Apple iphones.

  1. Place the device on hard surface

Many smartphone users keep their smartphones on a bed or sofa while charging. Such surfaces could absorb the heat and traps the heat which emitted out from the handset and warms up the smartphone ever further. Try to place the device on a hard surface like a table, floor or others.

  1. Don’t increase brightness

Turning the screen brightness up on your phone will affect the battery. It will add extra load on it. Instead of increasing the brightness, use a glare screen. Such screen will allow you to use your smartphone even in sunlight no matter how bright it is.

  1. Avoid direct sunlight

Avoid keeping your smartphone in direct contact with sunlight. The phone catches the light and it retails the heat received from the sunlight. The smartphone’s normal processing power and heat received from the sunlight are bound to heat up the phone.

  1. Keep it on Airplane mode

This is a simple way to cool down your smartphone. If you are not using the phone, keep it to airplane mode or simply turn it off. By switching to airplane mode, it will be easier for the device to settle down itself and also save your battery.

  1. Avoid third-party chargers and batteries

Some third-party chargers and batteries heat up the smartphone and affect the functionality. The chargers with different wattage can cause unexpected heat up to the smartphones. Make sure you’re using the recommended accessories and batteries on your smartphone. Refer the user’s manual for more instructions.
