One of the brands where this change is most noticeable is undoubtedly the Dell Alienware gaming company, which after the redesign of its Area-51m, presents us some sober m15 and m17 laptops. And is that this new design takes much of the Area-51m presented at the beginning of this year at CES, to such an extent that now these laptops seem almost a reduced version of this model. The ventilation grilles on the sides and the upper part of the keyboard stand out, based on a hexagonal pattern. However, the changes presented today are not limited to the aesthetic. First of all, these two models abandon the ability to change components presented by the top of the range, leaving the SSD as the only replaceable parts. As for the components of the Alienware m15 and m17, we will be able to find the latest ninth-generation Intel processors from a quad-core i5-9300H Core to the powerful i5-9980HK Core, along with the latest NVIDIA GTX and RTX GPUs up to the RTX 2080 Max-Q. All this to support OLED screens with resolutions up to 4K and up to 240Hz. Thus, the Alienware m15 will offer a choice of 1080p IPS panels at 60Hz, 144Hz or 240Hz, or an OLED panel from 4K to 60Hz; while the Alienware m17 inch will only feature the options of a 1080p panel at 60Hz or 144Hz. Finally, and returning in part to the design, both laptops will feature Cryo-Tech Cooling 3.0 cooling technology, which improves airflow and thermal efficiency even with the reduced thickness of only 20.5 mm. Dell has already confirmed that updates to the m15 and m17 will be available as of June 11, with both sizes available starting at $ 1,499.
