Apple surprisingly drops the 7th developer and 6th public beta for iOS 10 testers

Probably adding to the joy of Beta testers with yet another release, Apple is making the 7th iOS 10 beta update available to developers. In addition to this, the sixth public beta update is also being made available to test(obviously!). Though just a single digit behind the developer beta, the public beta is actually the same version of the software.

The iOS 10 seventh developer beta update, has been made available just 4 days after the 6th beta update. It is currently available to test on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. You can head over to the Settings app > Software Updates on your phone right now to download the same. Being only a 60MB download, this update will probably introduce numerous bug fixes and optimizations.

Apple might have made the next iOS 10 developer beta available to all, but there is currently no word on the next macOS, watchOS or tvOS updates. And as a precautionary step, I would recommend you not to install this developer beta update on you main phone, as there are still some nooks and crannies that need to fixed by the final update.

If you’re unaware, iOS 10 has been called the biggest iOS release ever. It includes a slew of changes and new feature introductions in the form of a completely redesigned lock-screen with rich and interactive notifications. It lets you interact with notifications without needing to unlock your device and do other amazing things  — all thanks to Forcc touch.

In addition to this, Apple has now upgraded your personal assistant — Siri and opened the same to third-party developers via a Siri SDK. It also introduced the first smart-home application in the form of HomeKit and impressed with the updated features of the messaging app. Using the messaging app, you can now do what Google’s Allo promised to do, but with much more flair.

Also, you should now be gearing for Apple’s rumored September 7 event, where it could debut its upcoming iPhone 7 —  which probably wouldn’t feature a headphone jack. But who knows, we’ll just have to wait out till the release.
