The upcoming PlayStation VR from Sony is one of the hottest devices to be released in 2016. It was first rumoured a few months ago and we got official confirmation not long after that. Most believe that the new gaming console from Sony is going to change the way video games work, but we didn’t know what to expect. That’s about to change now as Sony has distributed official pamphlets (via Polygon) regarding the space requirements and gameplay style of the PS VR.
According to its developers, the PlayStation VR is going to require a minimum of 60-square-feet of cleared space to use. The player should stay centered in an area that’s about 9.8 feet by 6.2 feet to enjoy the virtual reality based games, ideally. The official brochure also states that players Remain Seated whenever possible while playing. On the height of the play area, the documents state that that is totally dependent upon how high up the camera is set.
“Limit your use of PS VR to within the Play Area,” according to the
according to the brochure. “Clear an area larger than the Play Area of all obstacles before using PS VR and remain seated whenever possible. If the application requires you to stand while wearing the VR headset, follow the application instructions carefully, and maintain awareness of your surroundings.”

The company also recommends that users first try out a PS VR at a store or a trial event before purchasing one. The company says that each person experiences 3D and virtual reality in their own way and depending on their interpretation, they may or may not like the whole VR gaming theory.
The PS VR also supports different modes like the cinematic mode that allows users to watch various movies and PS4 games on a big screen in a virtual space. It also features a social screen mode which allows people not wearing the headset to play along or just watch what the player is doing via the television. Viewing your 3D or VR content is also supported on the upcoming console.
