LG V30+ with OLED FullVision display lands in India for Rs. 44,990

The Korean technology giant today announced its newest 2017 flagship here in India. LG had sent out the invites for the phone’s launch last week. The LG V30+ brings much more to the table than the usual specs of a flagship smartphone. Moreover, the company chose to launch the Phone at a much lower price than the competition, which should give the company an upper hand.

LG was earlier rumoured to launch the LG V30 here in India, but it ended up launching the LG V30+. It is a slightly upgraded variant of the regular V30 with a larger 128GB of internal storage. This variant hasn’t been made available in a lot of markets outside India.

What’s the best part about the LG V30+ is its launch price. LG has priced it at Rs. 44,990, which is a significantly lower price than other flagships including the Galaxy Note 8, which is just a couple of thousands short of Rs. 70,000. The higher end variant of the OnePlus 5T is available at Rs. 37,999, while the Pixel 2’s prices also come down to Rs. 39,999 during the Flipkart sales.

The things LG V30+ does better than the other flagship smartphones include the audio output with the presence of 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC. B&O Play has done the audio tuning on the phone. It is IP68 rated for water and dust resistance and the phone also has a MIL-STD-810G rating to prove its durability.

Some of the earlier reports suggested that the Indian variant won’t be including these features to cut down the cost. LG somehow managed to include them all while still keeping the prices down.

LG V30+ Specifications

Over at the front, the phone has a large 6-inch QHD+ Oled Fullvision display in the 18:9 aspect ratio which is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. Snapdragon 835 processor and Adreno 540 take care of the processing part, while there is 4GB of RAM on the phone. The internal storage of the phone is 128GB which is expandable up to 2TB. It supports dual SIM cards but via a hybrid slot.

Android 7.1.2 with LG UX 6.0+ comes running out-of-the-box on the LG V30+ and the phone is expected to soon get the Oreo update. The fingerprint scanner and the dual cameras sit on the back. The primary camera is of 16MP with f/1.6 aperture and the secondary unit is of 13MP with f/1.9 aperture. The front camera sports a 5MP sensor.

The LG smartphone packs a 3300mAh battery that can be quickly charged using Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and the phone also supports wireless charging. It has Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, along with USB Type-C 2.0 port that is compatible with USB 3.1 standard.

It would be an exclusive device and will be available in Aurora Black and Cloud Silver colour options. For a price of Rs. 44,990, the LG V30+ will start retailing from December 18th. Pre-orders will begin from tomorrow, December 14th. LG is also offering one-time screen replacement within 6 months and the first 2000 buyers of the phone will get a free wireless charger.
