How to Touch Up a Face in DaVinci Resolve
Color correction is not generally a one size fits all proposition.
Usually the way you color correct is determined by the subject of the shot you are working on.
Landscapes will require a different approach to that of interior shots but probably the most unique of all is anything where the majority of the shot involves skin tones.
You can get away with a lot of variation when it comes to objects, scenes animals etc. but if skin tones are off or the lighting looks bad, a portrait shot will fail.
We react quite strongly as humans to other human faces so if that face looks weird or “off” in any way we tend to switch off immediately.
This tutorial is done in DaVinci Resolve but can easily be replicated in any software with reasonably good color tools.
