First, try to come up with a different alternative

Reset your Android to its default settings

This can be done through the Settings app if you’ve chosen to perform a factory reset on Android.  In order to reset the phone, make sure it’s connected to a power supply or is adequately charged. 

1. Go to Settings. Scroll down and select System, next Advanced
2. Choose Reset. Then, select Erase all data (factory reset).
3. Next, select Erase all data.
4. Your PIN will be requested. Enter it. 
5. Click on Erase all data to start wiping the phone’s memory.

1. Turn the phone off. Then the Power and Volume Down buttons should be pressed simultaneously. Until the screen displays, keep pressing.
2. “Start” will be displayed along with text and navigation directions.  You may now navigate using the Volume keys and the Power button. Volume Down till Recovery Mode appears. It can be selected by pressing the Power button.
3. On re-boot, you’ll see an Android robot.

5. Then, while still holding the Power button, press and hold the Volume Up button.
6. Make a note of Wipe data/factory reset using the Volume buttons.
7. Activate it by holding down on the Power button.
8. Consent can be given by selecting Yes.
