CISOs Need People, Not Just Technology, to Repel Cyber Attacks

Businesses in every industry are adopting technologies at a breathtaking rate. While this makes people and processes more efficient, security teams struggle to keep pace. If Cisos can’t secure the systems that process, send, receive or store digital assets like PII, PHI, and IP, the hackers win. Securing systems and sensitive data, however, requires a highly skilled labor force. Unfortunately, demand for cybersecurity staff exceeds supply. Most CISOs therefore will confirm staffing is a critical issue.

I recently sat down with Laura Whitt-Winyard, Global CISO for DLL, to learn about her unique role as a global CISO. In this video, Laura discusses the challenge of finding good cybersecurity people around the world, and shares her unique approach to recruiting.
