Your Android comes with several Google services enabled by default. Maybe you do not use most of them. It would be a good idea to disable those services so that you can save on your battery.

One such service is Google Now (now changed to the more capable Google Assistant). It is indeed a great feature that allows you do a lot of tasks without even touching your phone or going through the lengthy procedures.  Though it is a good feature, some of you may not be using it.   • Now, head on to OK Google Detection.
  • On the next page, you should find a toggle to enable or disable Google Now. Disable it.

Disable Google Play Services

All the above tips form part of disabling Google Play Services in parts. However, if they fail to solve the issues you are facing, it would ideal to disable Google Play Services completely.

But, in most cases – Google does not allow disabling Google Play Services in its entirety. In fact, it is needed for the proper functioning of some of the essential apps. The list of apps that would need Google Play Services running include the third-party apps as well. A case in point could be WhatsApp which has become the universal messaging platform. If that is the case with you as well, it may be advisable NOT TO DISABLE GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES. Just follow the above instructions to disable or turn off only those parts of the Google Play Services that would not affect the performance of your phone.
