As the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 event ended yesterday being the last day of the month of February, it was all spectacles from the displays and arrays of mobile tech gadgets seen from different OEM across the globe. And no doubt those mobile gadgets unveiled during the show will definitely shape the type of mobile devices that will be obtainable in 2019 and beyond.
In the coming days and weeks, we are going to take out time to highlight in details most of the important devices unveiled at the MWC 2019 and we will be starting with the Nokia 9 Pureview, a highly anticipated device from the Finish Company HMD Global who had since taken charge of Nokia mobile phone manufacturing.
And just like the other OEM in the event, HMD Global never wanted to disappoint as they finally showcased the long awaited Nokia 9 Pureview device with amazing 5 cameras, thereby putting to an end the rumours about this unprecedented camera centric device.
And the highlight of the Nokia 9 Pureview is undoubtedly its 5 rear cameras, arranged in circular clusters with one of the lenses balancing in the centre. A quick look at the back of the device shows 7 punches, but it is only 5 that are lenses while one of the punches is the flash, the other one is a Time of Flight sensor.
Although it will be a bit shocker that the 5 lenses against expectation are all 12MP with f/1.8 aperture cameras, spotting 2 RBG coloured and 3 monochrome simultaneous shooters, none serve as telephoto or wide angle camera like we now see in devices with multi cameras. While on the front is sited a 20MP selfie shooter with HDR feature.
Away from the cameras, the Nokia 9 Pureview spots a 5.99 inches P-OLED display with a high resolution of 1440 X 2880 pixel and the front and back are covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Although since it is a 2019 device, we expected a Snapdragon 855 chipset, but HMD didn’t give us that in the Nokia Pureview and instead opted for the Snapdragon 845, which was a widespread chipsets used in most of the flagship devices of 2018.
With a 6GB RAM and internal storage of 128GB the Nokia 9 Pureview does not support external memory expansion.

It runs on Android 9.0 pie out of the box and battery spots a 3320 mAh capacity type, which can support both fast wired and wireless charging.
The Nokia Pureview is dust proof and slightly water proof as it can withstand immersion in water depth of 1m for some minutes. And the fingerprint scanner is embedded on its display.
Like some of the newer flagship devices, HMD global has cut off the 3.5mm jack in the new device, leaving it with only Type C.1 reversible charging port.
The device is expected to hit the market next month and with a price tag of about $699
