PC version Call of Duty: Modern Warfare requires 175GB of storage
The reboot of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare takes 175GB on the PC. This is stated in the system requirements on Battle.net. This makes it probably the largest PC game in terms of space requirements.

Why the new shooter from developer Infinity Ward needs so much space is not clear. The required 175GB is listed under both the minimum and recommended system requirements on Battle.net . Predecessor Call of Duty: Infinity Warfare was enough for 70GB.

There are more games that take up a lot of space. This usually involves games with a large open world. For example, Final Fantasy XV with 4k textures requires 155 GB and the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 that will be released soon, requires 150 GB of space according to the Rockstar game shop.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be released on October 25. The game also appears for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. The game is a reboot, or a new start of the Modern Warfare series. Tweakers published a preview of the multiplayer mode in August.
