Ubiquiti has released new firmware for its wireless products in the UAP and USW series. With this, different points are tackled again. The version number is fixed at 188.8.131.5253, and provided with the following announcement and list of adjustments:
[FIRMWARE] 184.108.40.20653 for UAP / USW has been released Stable
We’ve prepared firmware 220.127.116.1153. Please see below for the changelog and links to the firmware binaries.
Firmware changes since 4.0.9:
[UAPG3] Fix DFS false positives in recent 4.0.x firmware.
[UAPG3] Fix division by 0 bug.
[BaseStationXG] Enable OLED support for the black model.
[nanoHD / IW-HD] Fix custom TX power so 1dBm increments work.
[nanoHD / IW-HD] Fix band steering table full error handling.
[IW-HD] Enable PoE passthrough by default. **
[UAP] Add support for enabling neighbor reports from Fast Roaming. *
[HW] Miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements.
* controller support pending.
** this will be the default behavior until PoE passthrough control is available in the UniFi controller.
NOTE: You may start to see EVT_AP_RestartProc events in the controller log. If you see these, please report if there is anything specifically in your setup that triggers the events. The processes restarting is not new, but the reporting of the restarting is, and we are using these reports to clean up these issues.
Any US-XG-6POE upgrading from 4.0.2 or earlier will take a long time to upgrade. Do not be surprised if your switch is unavailable for 5-10 + minutes as 4.0.3+ also updates the PoE firmware to improve PD compatibility.
1st gen UAPs may require additional steps when upgrading from firmware 4.0.3. You can disable all WLAN groups, and then running the upgrade. Devices that are seemingly “stuck” on 4.0.3 may require TFTP recovery to upgrade from that firmware.
