Asus releases ROG Phone in November through Vodafone

Asus will release its ROG Phone for gamers in the Netherlands. The manufacturer does this in cooperation with Vodafone. The provider will offer the device in combination with subscriptions and also sell separately. Prices have not yet been announced.

According to Vodafone, the provider is the exclusive provider of the device in the Netherlands. With that, it seems that the phone will not be for sale through other stores. Vodafone says soon to announce the prices of the phone and its accessories. Sales will start in the second half of November.

Asus presented the Republic of Gamers smartphone in June. The device has a Snapdragon 845-soc and according to Asus it is specially selected chips that achieve a speed of 2.8GHz. The phone is equipped with a 90Hz OLED screen and a vapor chamber for cooling. Asus also supplies an accessory with an active fan.

In September , Asus released the ROG Phone in China . There, different storage variants appeared, with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB. All versions have 8GB ram. The cheapest model in China costs about 753 euros, but with 21 percent VAT that would come to about 911 euros. Which versions appear in the Netherlands is not yet known.

Tweakers published a preview of the Asus ROG Phone during the introduction. Together with the device Asus presented various accessories, such as a gamepad with a second screen, a gamepad consisting of two parts that are attached to both sides and a dock for use of the smartphone in combination with a monitor, mouse and keyboard.
