Houston-based LJA Engineering recently deployed a Spectra Logic Verde Nas Solution with Komprise software as a backup target and archive repository for 300TB of corporate data. The company uses the Verde to identify and move legacy data from Windows and Linux file servers into a live archive each day.
Using Komprise software, LJA can scan large data sets, pinpoint and analyze inactive data to determine cost savings, and quickly move that data to Verde Nas. Data remains easily accessible from existing storage with no changes to users or applications. The combined solution lets LJA Engineering manage data efficiently and effectively, freeing up time and resources. LJA noted that the products integrate together seamlessly, providing an ideal archive for their assets, and delivering the best ROI. The ROI component is particularly important as the firm’s data is predicted to grow 20 percent, year over year, for the foreseeable future.
“I’ve been very happy with our Spectra Verde Nas Solution combined with Komprise software. The speed of the unit is impressive and I’m hard to impress. I’m certainly going to be looking to expand our solution as our data needs grow,” said David Kimball, IT manager, LJA Engineering.
