Why is my Twitter not working? | Apple in India | Jio fibre outage | Waze map app | YouTube's children's content policy | Can you watch live sports on Amazon? | Redmi Watch 3 | Samsung Galaxy Book | POCO C50 | Vivo X Fold 2 |

Hello readers, Satyam is here again to share some of the best technology updates of today, but before that, if you haven't read my special blog about the iPad 3rd generation vs. the iPad 4th generation, then please have a look into it.

And here I will start today's special update, and in short, we can say that there is technical news.

 1. The Twitter server was unavailable.

Did you have an account on Twitter? And did you get a message like "Oops, something is wrong" while logging in to Twitter? on Thursday, which is today, December 29th? If yes, then comment down below on what you thought of it.

If you had trouble logging in to Twitter yesterday and thought your account had been blocked or removed, don't worry because the Twitter server was down for a while, or more than a while, on Thursday.

According to sources, Twitter had a huge outage because logging in to its online version proved difficult for many users, who were presented with an error message when they attempted to sign in. When users attempted to access the microblogging site in the early hours of Thursday, they were faced with an error notification.

According to Downdetector, which records website outages, more than 8,700 people reported difficulties with the site as of 7:30 a.m. EST (12:30 p.m. GMT).

2. Apple may rely on India after China.

China is facing lots of problems, and they are solving them in such a way that they give birth to a new problem, and that new problem can be dangerous to the whole world. Now that they have updated their Corona version and started to solve that problem again, let's see where this leads.

Leaving aside the political implications, according to a technical view, all companies are losing money because they rely heavily on China for manufacturing and distribution throughout Asia.

So big companies like Apple will not want to again face such an issue by relying on China, and after China, they have no better option but India, so this is a chance for India to prove its talent here by not ignoring them.

This decade, India might become Apple's manufacturing sweetheart. Beijing's own blunders have a lot to do with it. However, New Delhi deserves credit for a deliberate effort to make India an easier—and more financially appealing—place to develop devices.

In contrast, India is expected to play a greater role—at least for Apple. Despite its ageing infrastructure and vexing bureaucracy, India's sizable domestic market and recent significant government backing for electronics production position it well to benefit from a "China plus one" manufacturing strategy.

So what are your thoughts on China and India? on the grounds of doing technical business? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below this blog.

3. The Jio-fiber server was unavailable.

I use Jio Fiber for internet access, and I had the problem of not being able to access the internet around 10 a.m., but I was far away from wifi, so I assumed that was the problem. But usually they connect in that range, and it started working again by disconnecting and reconnecting.

So that was my story, and I wasn't that concerned about it because I just do small works on the internet and not any hard work, so this didn't affect me that much, but what was your story? I want to hear from you, so please go down to this blog and comment in the comment box.

Reliance Jio Fiber services were temporarily unavailable in India on December 28, 2022. Several consumers were unable to access Jio Internet services, prompting others to go to Twitter. Downdetector, an internet service tracker, has published a report on consumers claiming problems accessing the telecom's broadband network.

According to reports, Jio Fiber services were disrupted at 10 a.m. IST and were restored within 90 minutes. According to Downdetector, Jio outage reports began in the nation around 10 a.m., and by 11:05 a.m., more than 300 people had reported the issue. According to the survey, over 59 percent of Jio subscribers reported a problem with mobile internet.

So which side are you on—59 percent or 41 percent?

4. Waze will alert on highways.

While there is no comparison between Apple and Google Maps in this market of apps and services, there are always some small competitors with great ideas that Google and Apple either buy or suppress, like MapMyIndia, which is also an Indian app and is also struggling to establish itself in the market.

Waze is now exploring a method to notify drivers when they are on risky routes. By "risky," we imply roads with a high number of wrecks and accidents. The next beta will highlight these routes by flagging them in red and sending out a message.

The publication says that, while convenient, it does not appear to identify these types of concerns while going on commonly frequented routes.

So they are on the way to perfection, and this feature will be currently available on the beta version only. In my opinion, it's the best feature of the live GPS tracking map till now.

5. Youtube violates children's privacy.

These companies are always facing some issue because they have their own terms and conditions to work under, and again, each country has its own privacy laws, etc., so they always have to face problems from a particular country. In my opinion, there should be one law for this technical privacy, and all actions should be taken as per it.

On Wednesday, a US appeals court reopened a case charging Alphabet's Google and several other corporations with violating the privacy of children under the age of 13 by tracking their YouTube activity without parental agreement in order to offer them tailored advertisements.

The federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, or COPPA, was not intended to pre-empt state law-based privacy claims, according to the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals in Seattle.

This statute empowers the Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general, but not private litigants, to control the online collection of personal information regarding children under the age of 13.

 6. Amazon has a specific app for sports.

Amazon is one of the best online shopping sites, and India is a big fan of it and trusts it. Following that, Amazon Prime Video has a large fan base in India for its content views and has consistently ranked near the top of the list.

And now they are planning individual apps for the sports content. The Information reported on Wednesday that Amazon.com is working on a dedicated app for streaming sports programming, citing a source with firsthand knowledge of the idea.

Sports continue to be one of the most popular live viewing options in the United States, as viewers shift away from paid TV and toward streaming applications.

The move is anticipated to complement Amazon's efforts to increase its focus on sports content via its Prime Video service, a major route for attracting customers to its shopping platform.

Amazon already holds the rights to stream events such as the National Football League's Thursday Night Football brand and Premier League soccer matches in the United Kingdom, allowing it to compete more effectively with sports streaming leader Walt Disney Co.

Launch after launch

1. The Redmi Watch 3 was launched.

I bought a Boat Xtend smartwatch for INR 2800 a year ago when it was launched only, and I liked it most for the design as it was very similar to the Apple Watch, and somehow it looked like it was more expensive. So, what kind of watch are you wearing? And what function do you like the most about it?

However, these low-cost smartwatches, such as "69 Sports" and "blah blah," do not perform as well as they claim. But I like two functions best in the smartwatch: the always-on display and Bluetooth calling. What features do you wish your watch had? mention that in the comment box?

Redmi, a Chinese technology firm, has released the Redmi Watch 3 in China. This wristwatch has GPS, Bluetooth calling, and a battery life of up to 12 hours. It has an AMOLED screen. The Redmi Watch 3 weighs around 37 grammes and comes with 200 customizable watch faces in a variety of themes and designs.

The Redmi Watch 3 is priced at CNY 499, which is around $5,900. Beginning December 28, 2022, it will be available for purchase at Redmi's home ground. This smartwatch has a 1.75-inch AMOLED display with a 70 percent screen-to-body ratio and a peak brightness of 600 nits. The watch has a resolution of 390 x 450 pixels, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and 341 perforations.

And what more did you expect from this smartwatch? If these features are perfect for you as per the price, please mention it in the comment box.

2. Samsung will present its Galaxy Book.

The Galaxy Series of Samsung has always hit the market, and now they are stating that they will bring the Galaxy Book along with the S23 smartphones in 2023, according to plan, if there is no interference or unplanned delay.

Samsung will unveil its next-generation Galaxy Book notebooks. According to the outlet's sources, new high-end Galaxy Books will be launched with increased specifications over their predecessors. Unfortunately, the outlet was unable to confirm certain items, such as CPUs or memory settings.

Some of the renders appear to show the latest Intel 13th generation processor, as well as a dedicated graphics card, an amoled screen, and an S-pen. It will a fantastic pack in my opinion.

So far, no price has been revealed, but I expect it to be on the higher side given the high quality of the features. What do you think of it? Mention your thoughts in the comment box.

3. POCO C50 will launch on January 3rd.

There are lots of smartphones that will launch on the occasion of the new year 2023, and if you want a special blog about which phones will launch in 2023, then comment so that I can get a hint from it. One of the options on the list is the Poco C50, which will go on sale on January 3rd.

I'm currently using the POCO X2, and it hasn't given me any problems since I purchased it on the day it went on sale. It has a 256 GB internal storage capacity and a Snapdragon 730G processor with 8 GB of RAM. And right now, it only has 20 to 30 GB of storage space left in my phone, and it works perfectly with a dozen apps. So I have trust in the Poco brand because they manufacture good phones at a good price.

The Poco C50 might be released in India very soon. The Xiaomi sub-brand has yet to announce an official debut date, but according to a fresh claim, the Poco C50 will be available in India on January 3. It will most likely be priced in the low range.

Separately, the model number 220733SPI and code name "Snow" for the future Poco C50 smartphone have apparently emerged on the Google Play Console website. The Poco C50 is likely to be a rebranded version of the Redmi A1+ with a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC.

4. Vivo X Fold 2 leaked image and specs.

Now all smartphone companies are working on their folding smartphones, whereas some companies are working on foldable laptops as well, and some have also launched their foldable smartphones and laptops.

Vivo's foldable smartphones, the Vivo X Fold and the Vivo X Fold+, were released earlier this year. A recent leak has revealed some of the expected specs for Vivo's forthcoming foldable phone. The Vivo X Fold 2 is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

According to the rumour, which comes from a reputable source, the device will include a foldable screen with 2K resolution, and both the front and inside displays may incorporate an under-display fingerprint sensor. The leak also revealed the phone's release date, indicating a release in the first half of 2023.
