The Future Of Cloud Computing

Cloud Computing enables users to get access to applications, information and various other forms of data online rather than by using actual hardware devices like storage sticks. A company offering reliable Cloud technology facilitates shared and organized computing, as it provides a service rather than a product. Users can receive and share information in a manner that will allow them to have access and give access to other people or groups within their cloud.
What the future of cloud computing holds

Cloud computing technology has shown tremendous potential in the opportunities it presents as well as its capabilities. This has created a whole new sector of jobs, services, platforms, applications and many more. There are virtually thousands of applications across many different industry sectors.

Vendors and service providers can get the most out of cloud computing applications as they can implement new and innovative ways of selling goods and services to their users through cloud computing. This opens up a whole new platform for designers and web developers. This will result in businesses and organizations becoming more organized and efficient when conducting business processes.

How will cloud computing shape our lives?
Over the past few years, there have been significant developments that have completely transformed the cloud market. Its popularity and evolution have given rise to a wide variety of applications across different industry sectors. Although cloud computing is not new, it’s full potential and abilities are only just coming to the forefront.

1. Serverless Architecture
Currently, a significant amount of time and resources are spent on creating applications and systems that are either scalable, meaning more added costs, or become redundant over time. A good solution to this has been the increasing recognition of serverless architecture. It gives developers a quick way to create systems and applications.

The platform effectively determines the volume of infrastructure that is needed and automatically creates provisions in terms of infrastructure to supplement and support the application or system

2. Artificial Intelligence Will Take Centre Stage
As the scope of cloud computing increases, it will lead to further innovations in supporting technologies like artificial intelligence and IoT. Such innovations will enable them to adapt seamlessly across different platforms and devices like mobile phones, tablets and home appliances.

Current mobile devices need a lot of time and processing power to analyze unstructured data. Such devices have to first, send the data to servers in the cloud, thus slowing down the response time of AI. To solve this delay, industry experts believe that mobile devices will use continuous inference in the future.

Inference can be defined as when AI communicates with the cloud, learns and then applies the knowledge gained in real-life problems. This allows the device to sort pictures according to content, respond to voice commands and adjust camera settings to capture images under different shooting conditions.

3. Building Digital-First Infrastructure
It has been estimated that around 2050, the world’s population will increase to approximately 10 billion, with the largest growth being concentrated around urban locations. This will result in an increasing demand for advanced digital solutions that are easily manageable as well as accessible by the general population.

Cloud computing is expected to be an integral solution to providing digital infrastructure in smart cities. It can be used in autonomous vehicles, smart parking lots and elevators, efficient farms and power plants, trains and subways. The use of cloud computing in these infrastructures will result in them becoming safer as well as easy to manage owing to cloud computing’s ability to store and analyze data rapidly. Companies will also be able to increase efficiency and innovativeness by having access to artificial intelligence, data analytics and other such technological services in real-time.

4. Change The Way We Manage Data
Studies show that on average around 2.3 trillion gigabytes of data is created every day. That number amounts to around 40 zettabytes of data for the year 2020. Such high volumes of data cause 3 major challenges, namely; storing, processing and managing the data efficiently.

Cloud computing is a great solution to these challenges. By storing data on the cloud, the data is transformed into small data groups with fewer replications or duplicates and is managed like virtual data. A smaller data footprint allows businesses to improve the way they manage big data in 3 distinct ways:

  • A decrease in the time required by applications to process data
  • Data becomes more secured and easy to access and manage because of the decentralized nature of cloud
  • Data analysis reports become more accurate.
