Epic Games has announced the first season of a new chapter of the popular battle royale title — Fortnite Chapter 4. As per the company’s blog post, this new chapter will offer a new “realm” for the players. Fortnite Chapter 4 will also add a new map, new ways to move around and a new battle pass, as well as new power-ups and weapons. Fortnite is powered by the company’s Unreal Engine 5.1 and its features are now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and cloud gaming. Epic has also released a trailer to announce the new chapter of Fortnite.

Fortnite Chapter 4: New map
As shown in the trailer, the events of Chapter 3’s finale have formed a new island. This new map includes several new points of interest (POI) like — the Citadel, a peaceful-looking town called Anvil Square, the Brutal Bastion in the mountains and an abandoned farm named Frenzy Fields.
Fortnite Chapter 4: New movements
Fortnite’s new chapter will allow players new ways and a new vehicle to move across the map. Now, players can use their Pickaxe to create a snowball and jump inside the snowball to move while attacking their enemies.

This chapter has also introduced a dirt bike called Trail Thrasher which players can use to perform tricks and use their weapons while riding. A new manoeuvre called Hurdle will also be available for players when they sprint at obstacles.
Fortnite Chapter 4 has also combined a movement with a melee weapon. The Shockwave Hammer will not only deal damage to opponents, but it also launches them far away. Players can also use this weapon to launch themselves and their teammates.
Fortnite Chapter 4: New weapons and power-ups
Apart from the Shockwave Hammer, the new chapter adds multiple other weapons and power-ups to the game. Players can find Kinetic Ore at the Shattered Slabs mining facility. These ores can be used to pull off physics sorcery and strategically attack their opponents.
Moreover, this chapter will add more guns and Reality Augments. Players will be given a randomised choice of two power-ups at regular intervals within a match. You can collect more Reality Augments if you stay in a match for a longer period.
Fortnite Chapter 4: Other new additions
Not just weapons, this chapter also adds some new healing items like — berries, juice and sky jellies. At the beginning of a match, some POIs dubbed Hot Spots will appear with gold text on your map. These locations will have flying drones containing rare weapons that players can shoot down to claim. Teams can also put their banners at Capture Point which will be marked on the map for opponents.
