Moto E7 Power To Be Launched on February 19th — Will Ship With 5000mAh Battery & MediaTek SoC

Moto E line-up of smartphones was a popular choice in the budget segment, but they’ve been running under the radar for some time. Motorola’s rekindled determination sees a portfolio overhaul and with the Moto E7 Power, it aims to regain some of its lost sheen. So, what can we expect?

Moto E7 Power Likely to Slot in Below the Moto E7 Plus

Motorola had previously launched the Moto E7 Plus last year and has pretty much ended up being unnoticed. The Moto E7 Power seems to be a strike to reduce the price tag further while still offering the vanilla Android experience, which many consumers still want and love.

Moto E7 Power will use a physical fingerprint scanner at the back.

The Moto E7 Power is speculated to come powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC instead of the Snapdragon SoC that the E7 Plus uses. Geekbench scores reveal that the Moto E7 Power scores 153 in single-core and 865 in muti-core tests. Moto E7 Power might run on the older Android 10 as per Geekbench. The MediaTek SoC will come coupled with a single 4GB(LPDDR4X)+64GB(EMCP) variant. The storage is expandable up to 1TB via microSD card slot.

The Moto E7 Power will feature a tried and tested Motorola like design language and make use of polycarbonate material for exterior construction. By the looks of it, Moto E7 Power retains a fingerprint sensor at the back housed neatly into the Motorola logo. At the front, it features a 6.5″ 720p LCD display. The front 5MP camera is housed inside a water-drop like notch at the top.

Unlike the bigger sibling, the Moto E7 Plus, which uses a triple camera setup, the Moto E7 Power, will use a modest (by today’s standards) dual-camera setup. It features a 13MP primary camera and 2MP secondary camera. Let’s just hope the 2MP sensor is not housed under a useless macro lens.

Another talking point will the Moto E7 Power’s generous 5000mAh battery. With efficient optimizations, the Moto E7 Power should last fairly long given the lower grade processor and a mere 720p display upfront.

The Moto E7 Power will go on sale via Flipkart on 19th February at 12 noon. It’s likely to be priced competitively, but exact pricing details are still a question.
