Apple‘s Ipad range has a product for everyone’s need, and unsurprisingly it has become the most popular choice in the entire tablet market. We had earlier covered Apple’s intention to shift to the Mini-LED display with the 2021 Ipad Pro refresh. 91mobiles has now dropped sneak peeks into the CAD renders of the new Apple iPad Pro 2021 and here’s what we think about it.
iPad Pro is in the Air!
Leaked images of CAD renders of the upcoming 12.9″ iPad Pro 2021 has just surfaced, and it looks fairly close to the existing line up of the Pro models taking hints from the 4th Gen Ipad Air from 2020. 91mobiles, however, couldn’t confirm the specifications of the hardware.
The images of the 3D designs of the iPad Pro 12.9″ model for the 2021 model year show clear hints of design cues both from the existing iPad Pro models launched in the first half of 2020 and some inspiration from the iPad Air 2020. This means the iPad Pro 2021 will continue with a slab-like design with a flat side and flat back with a slight protrusion from the rear camera module. The iPad Pro 2021 will also shed some thickness around the bezels. The camera module seems to have been squared out while retaining the rounded edges. The camera hump will house camera units, a LiDAR sensor, and a flash.
The designs show off the quad-speaker grilles, two at the top and two at the bottom. Interesting and much-awaited addition is the Type C port at the bottom, much like the 4th Gen iPad Air. The right side will house the volume rockers and the magnetic cradle for charging the Apple Pencil. The bottom part of the back will be the smart connector’s home for the compatible cases and covers to latch onto it.
Our earlier coverage on the 2021 iPad Pro dealt with the news of Apple’s shift to Mini-LED display for deeper blacks, richer colors, higher brightness, and increased efficiency. The iPad Pro might run on the A14 Bionic that debuted last year, albeit with some modifications to pump up the performance to deal with heavier workloads and establish hierarchy amongst the existing iPad lineup. Hardware details remain very much in the dark, but the regular leaks and reports suggest that a Q1 2021 launch would be fairly likely.
