The first benchmark leak of AMD Ryzen 7 4700G APU came at the beginning of this month. The scores came from ITCooker (via Xfastest HK unit). The APU was tested mainly for its multitasking abilities. The benchmark of the APU leaked once again and the results are quite impressive. The AMD Ryzen 7 4700G APU’s scores confirmed that the APU is an impressive overclocker. The company is aiming to make the chip one of the best overclockers. However, the benchmarks are leaked from ITCooker (via HXL) again and the latest benchmarks show that the APU has a lot to offer to the customers who do overclock.

AMD Ryzen 7 4700G Leaked Benchmark

Coming to the specifications, AMD Ryzen 7 4700G is an 8 core APU and it belongs to the Renoir Desktop APU family that we already know from the first impressions. The flagship chip has already proved its potential. The chip has good memory support and it features a superb OC support too. The APU overclocks to an impressive 4.8 GHz frequency across all 8 cores and gets DDR4-4400 & 2200 MHz FCLK (1:1) which is achieved on the B550 platform.

The leaker provided a CPU-Z screenshot referring to which it can be confirmed that the 7nm Zen 2 core architecture is featured on the Ryzen 7 4700G. The chip has a 4 MB of L2 and 8 MB of L3 cache which sums up to a total of 12 MB cache memory and it features 16 threads. The cache memory is lesser than the 32 MB of the L3 cache of the 8 core Ryzen 7 3800X. This is happening because of the monolithic nature of the chip. The chip does not work on the Chiplet based design which is featured on the Ryzen 3000 ‘Matisse’ series desktop processors. There is a single package the chip relies on.

The CPU has a base frequency and boost-up frequency of 3.60 GHz and 4.45 GHz respectively and this information came in the previous leak too. The CPU works on a 65W TDP and the chip is compatible with AM4 socket. Coming to the graphics, it has the enhanced 7nm Vega GPU. The GPU incorporates 8 CUs which form 512 cores. The CPU is clocked at 2100 MHz on the GPU. This makes the chip as the fastest clocked integrated graphics chip.

The B550 AORUS Master motherboard is expected to offer an impressive memory tuning and support for overclocking. There are two 8 GB DDR4 DIMMs that were featured on it and it features a 360mm Cooler Master ML360R cooler. The configuration of the CPU was set to 1.3875V and a 45.25x multiplier was used. The Ryzen 7 4700G APU gave an impressive 4.525 GHz on all 8 cores.

The CPU gave 11% more single-threaded performance and 15% more multi-threaded performance as compared to the Ryzen 7 3700X when it was overclocked to 4.615 GHz. The Ryzen 7 3700X can be overclocked at 4.4 GHz which is 5% lower than Ryzen 7 4700G. The Ryzen 7 4700G has 5% more single-core performance and 15% more multi-threaded performance.

The benchmark leaker IT Cooker was able to push the CPU up to 4.815 GHz across all 8 cores. However, The stability of the system, the cooling mechanisms, and the voltages are unknown at this moment.

The CPUs of the Renoir family will come in the market after 3 months of the launch of the mobility family. The updated Zen 2 cores and the Vega graphics architecture will be the technologies that will be focused on the Renoir family.

We can expect more details about the family in the coming weeks. The scores of the CPU are impressive and it should satisfy the customers. The specifications and the scores seem promising but as of now, we must wait for the final results.
