HBO Max is all set to come up with a brand new Adult Animated Series that goes by the title 10-Year-Old-Tom. The series has been produced by writer and executive producer Steve Dildarian. Nick Weidenfeld is also an executive producer of this series.
“Not only is Steve insanely funny, he is one of the rare talents that can write, draw and do voices. He’s the triple threat that is the foundation of all great animated shows,” said Nick Weidenfeld.
10-Year-Old-Tom revolves around the storyline of Tom (as the name evidently suggests) who is struggling with certain issues, which includes being with corrupted grownups and being surrounded by them each and every day. The only way he deals with these corrupted people around him every day is by leaving his house.
He is surrounded by bad influences – litigious parents, drug dealing bus drivers, and band teachers who want to sleep with his mom. When he tries to set up a lemonade stand, he is sued for gross negligence. If he plays baseball, he is encouraged to “dabble with roids.” And if he visits the school nurse, he is introduced to the world of insurance fraud.
The grownups in Tom’s life are shown to mean all well, however, they just can’t manage to portray that with examples successfully.
Nick Weidenfeld has also previously worked on series such as The Boondocks and the very popular Rick & Morty by being an executive producer of the series. 10-Year-Old-Tom will also have Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements of Tomorrow Studios be executive producers of the series, there is a partnership between Adelstein and ITV Studios. ITV Studios is responsible for handling the international distribution of the series.

10-Year-Old-Tom will sort of bring together Kevin Reilly, chief content officer HBO Max and president TNT, TBS, and TruTV, Suzanna Makkos, the executive vice president original comedy and animation, along with Dildarian and Weidenfeld.
Reports also have been suggestive of the fact that this series is one of the many adult animated shows HBO Max has also commissioned. “Steve is a singular comedic voice and also a brilliant visual artist,” Makkos said.
