Increase Internet Speed with Google Fi

Google Fi

Google Fi, formerly Project Fi is a MVNO telecommunications service by Google that provides a mobile virtual Network operator service providing calls, texts, and internet using cellular networks and Wi-Fi. Google Fi automatically switches from carrier to carrier depending on signal strength and speed. This means that you will be on the T-Mobile network while at home and on the Sprint network while at job. The switching happens seamlessly. If the switching happens while you are on a call, you won’t even know it switched.

It can automatically connect to Wi-Fi hotspots. Google Fi must be activated within the US. After activation, Fi service may be used outside the US.

Google Fi Plans

Google Fi is a phone plan designed with the modern Google technology. Monthly plans are flat fee–based, paid at the start of every monthly billing cycle. It starts at $20 per month for unlimited calls and messaging.

With a Google Fi plan, you will get improved network coverage. In the US, it offers data service on three mobile networks (T-Mobile, Sprint and U.S. Cellular).Google Fi is compatible with certain phones and devices, primarily the Google Pixel and Motorola Nexus lines of phones.

Google Fi’s got you covered with feature-packed plans that adapt to your life. You don’t have to sign any long-term contract and you can cancel any time.

Check my special article on 5G.

Google Fi now offers an ‘Unlimited’ Plan for its users for a flat rate of $70 per month with up to 22GB of high-speed data. After 22 GB, speeds are throttled to 256kbps. On both plans, users can pay a further $10 per 1 GB until their next billing cycle.

If you chose the Flexible plan, you get unlimited calls and texts for $20/month, and data at $10/GB (and you only pay for what you use).

You can add up to 5 additional people at your Google Fi plan. And the more people you add the less per line you pay. This can be very cost-effective for a large family.

Final Thoughts:

It works perfectly and it’s easy to sign up for Google Fi too. Google’s wireless service can save you money and stay connected wherever you are, coast to coast. Call loved ones at no extra charge plus get coverage in 200+ destinations. You can call at a flat rate or even via Wi-Fi internationally at lower rates, but speeds can vary depending on the country you’re in. If your device(s) are compatible with the networks used It’s possible to save a few bucks depending upon the amount of data you use on a monthly basis.
Go to the Fi website and use the online calculator to estimate your monthly costs. It can also estimate a plan for multiple users. Google Fi is meant for people who want to leave the world of contract, upgrade, overages, massive bills, and long holds on customer service.
