Samsung is adding another 5G smartphone to its roster.

The Samsung Galaxy A90 5G is now official. Like other devices in the Galaxy A series, it places a focus on screen, camera, and battery performance, packing a 6.7-inch 2400×1080 Super AMOLED screen that has a waterdrop notch with a 32MP selfie cam. Samsung has also packed a large 4500mAh battery into the Galaxy A90 5G to help keep you stay connected.

On the back of the Galaxy A90 5G is a triple camera setup that includes a 48MP main camera with features like Super Steady, Scene Optimizer, and Flaw Detector. There’s also an 8MP wide angle camera with 123-degree field of view and a 5MP depth camera to help you capture portrait mode photos.

The rest of the Galaxy A90 5G’s spec list is pretty respectable. There’s an octa-core Snapdragon 855 processor paired with 6/8GB of RAM, 128GB of built-in storage, and a microSD slot in the 6GB RAM model. Samsung has included an in-display fingerprint sensor, too, along with 25W fast charging and support for Samsung’s DeX, which is a first for the Galaxy A series.

Finally, there’s the 5G connectivity. The Galaxy A90 5G supports 5G Non Standalone and sub-6GHz.

Samsung will launch the Galaxy A90 5G in Korea on September 4 in black and white color options, with launches in other markets also planned. There’s no word yet on how much Samsung plans to charge for its newest 5G phone, though.

It may not be a member of Samsung’s Galaxy S or Note flagship families, but the Galaxy A90 5G still looks like a pretty solid handset. It’s got a large screen, big battery, and several cameras just like you’d expect from a high-end device in 2019, and the 5G support is a feature that’s only available on a handful of other devices. We don’t yet know how much the Galaxy A90 5G will cost, but because it’s a Galaxy A series phone, it could be a slightly cheaper way to get a 5G phone compared to flagship 5G handsets on the market.
