The first thing you should try is to send a text message to try and get automatic settings sent to your phone directly. To do so text “settings” to 3888. After you have sent the message, you will receive automatic configurations that you can install automatically on your phone. The process doesn’t take more than 5 minutes, your phone will be up and running. You will start surfing the web on your MTN network as long as you have an active data plan. - Find mobile network
- Open it, and select access point name
- You can decide to create new or edit anything you find there.
- In this case, create new APN and name it “MTN WAP”
After that here is what you will input in the blank spaces.
- Name: MTN WAP
- IP Address: 10.199.212.2
- Port: 9201
- Username: Web
- Password: Web
- APN (access point name): web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
- Homepage: wap.mtnonline.com
