Last year, Huawei launched Watch GT next to the Mate 20. It received new variants earlier this year, and in June Huawei announced the sale of 2 million units. In fact, it is a very interesting device, especially by design. Now a new leak has revealed that there will be a successor called Huawei Watch GT 2 and could be released very soon.

According to global media, New Huawei Watch GT 2 has the codename “Latona”. However, it has the model number LTN-B19. It came across several changes in design. It has a thinner bezel, a large screen and still retains its masculine appearance with two hardware buttons on the right side of the chassis.

Meanwhile, Huawei Watch GT 2 has a larger battery capacity. In practice, it translates to 445mAh with 2-week battery life. It is pretty sure that device still runs Huawei’s Lite operating system, but there is no information about new features. This smartwatch holds the heart rate sensor and a GPS module. Major talk on speaker and microphone, suggesting an AI Assistant or the ability to make calls. There is no information about an LTE modem, so we cannot confirm the latter.

Rumors reveal that the Huawei Watch GT 2 is available in two variants. Thus we have a classic version with a leather strap and a silver frame. One can also have a sport version with a rubber strap and a black frame.

This smartwatch should be announced at IFA 2019. Or next to the Mate 30 range later this month. If the story repeats itself, the successor of Honor Watch Magic should share the design and features with it.
