Bitmain has released a miner for Ethereum and other currencies on the algorithm Ethash

This time, Chinese engineers undertook to develop the “essential” area of mining.

Thus, industrial progress came finally to the Air. Or rather, to the Ethash Algorithm, which is used in the mining of Ethereum, Ethereum Classic and other currencies. Bitmain has started selling devices under the code of Antminer E3, with the following specifications:

  • Hash algorithm: Ethash
  • Electricity consumption: 800W
  • Hasrat: 180MH/s
  • Price: $800

The device operates from a standard power supply APW3++ (or other with similar characteristics).

Sending new miners will take place between 16 and 31 July 2018.

Previously it was rumors that the Chinese company is going to release a similar device, called Antminer them then F3, and the Ethereum community actively voted for the fork, which was supposed to protect the coin from mass mining using ASIC. However, judging by the power and size of the new miner, the meaning of this fork no no.
