What is the VPN? Find out exactly!

A VPN is a Virtual Private Network. It is a conceptual network designed to protect privacy within a real network.

One of the main uses of a VPN is to stop a third-party from interfering with the network. First of all you need to have a simple understanding of how the internet works.

We go online to get services. We're called clients. Websites like Facebook offer services. They're connected to the Internet, just like us. They are called service providers or servers. Every device connected to the Internet has an IP Address. Just like a home address is used to find homes, this is used to distinguish the device from the Internet. Four compartments separated by dot numbers 0-255 per IP address under IPv4 naming. (This is what Eve saw like 192.168.1.1)

When we want to go to a website, we need to remember his IP address. The trouble is people can't remember these IP address numbers. So we put a name for that website. It's called a domain name. For example, www.facebook.com is a domain.

We type the domain. Then the request goes to the special server computers on the Internet. We call them DNS or Domain Name Servers. They have a list. All they have to do is select the IP address of the website we have sent and send it back to us.

Then we take that IP address from our web browser and take us to the relevant website. Going for seconds, we don't realize there are two steps here.

All right. Now this is the problem. While sending this domain name request to Translate, we are sending a lot more data with you. Our location, operating system, Device type etc The website loads in a language that is compatible with our device. But with the help of Internet Service Providers, a third-party (similar to a government of a country) can look at what's being sent and forbid a select group of people to visit a selected website. For example, if the location is Sri Lanka, don't go to Facebook. Others can use these things to target you and advertise. That's exactly what you see in your phone model back covers. Thanks to your ISP

VPN software helps as an intermediary now. They control everything when we go to the internet using a Vpn Software. First encrypt data sent from VPN. This means that if a third-party goes into those things, they are unable to switch. For example, instead of a simple word ABCD, take each letter of the word one letter and send it to BCDE. If the message is passed to a third-party then you need to know about the changed method.

VPN providers have their servers in each country. After installing a VPN software, our request to go to the website goes directly to one of their servers. From that location our geographical location will be transferred to the address of the VPN server in that country. (ex: USA) Next, that USA server sends our request to the website we want to go to. Then we come across an intermediary and we want to go to the website server that thinks we're in the USA. Then we get the website we want along with this new tunnel built from VPN without any restriction mentioned earlier. The best thing about a third-party bully is that this is nowhere illegal. What we do is protect our privacy.

There are other advantages to using a VPN. Count your tickets for travel to a country, book a stay or book a hotel. We can switch to one location at a time like this and compare the prices of tickets to hotels.

We have to pay a VPN for this service or look at their ads. They are doing this to earn money, not to love us.

Here is the story. While this is new to our group, VPN software is a common thing in countries like China where there is a lot of restriction on the Internet. If you find something new, share it with someone else.
