Ethereum is one step closer to the development of shading – a technology aimed at scaling the network.The project’s founder Vitalik Buterin said at a recent meeting of developers, writes CoinDesk .
The idea of shading involves separating the data in the blockroom into more manageable parts, in which the nodes store only a fraction of the data, relying on information from other nodes.

Referring to the original specifications for Github, he also noted that in theory, minimal shading would look exactly this way.
According to Buterin, the next phase of the four-stage proposal will be completed in a month with a small one.

At the same time, Buterin acknowledged that the launch of the new Casper consensus protocol may be delayed for some time. Earlier it was reported that the protocol Casper will be implemented in the main network in the course of the hard-core. Presumably, this will take place within the previously planned for 2018 update Ethereum Constantinople.
Earlier in January, due to congestion and instability of the network, some exchanges temporarily suspended the withdrawal of ETH.
