Indian Air Force video game now available for Android and iOS users

Guardians of the Skies is the exciting video game title from the Indian Air Force which is now up on mobile platforms

It’s absolutely special for Indian gamers to have the Indian Air Force release Guardians of the Skies now be able to run on mobile devices. Android devices can have it downloaded now, iOS users have to wait till the 31st of July. You get to fly fighter jets, helicopters, bombers and transports through a campaign based gameplay for now. Multiplayer will be the major attraction as playing in a community will amplify the gaming experience on a mobile device. With games like PUBG and Fortnite gaining lot of popularity with mobile gaming community, it’ll be interesting to see what an IAF game will become.

Although it is an old release, graphical intensity on plane models like SU30MKI, C130, Tejas, Mirage2000 and a lot more options was already done in decent detail. Mission guidelines are realistic as it can be for maximum excitement. Mission objectives too are diverse with rescue, surgical strike and defensive missions to play. The game will utilise your mobile’s gyroscope and touchscreen for inputs obviously. All you need is a minimum of 1GB RAM on your phone to run it.

The only annoying thing is why Threye didn’t create a completely new mission scape for the campaign as the plot is quite old now. A new story would have done wonders. Though the prospect of a multiplayer platform still brings some excitement to the mix. And the night vision combat sure feels that you’re a pro pilot. But if the Indian Air Force wants to exhilarate the young by showing them what being a combat pilot is all about, they better move up with the times and create cutting edge game graphics.
