The Android Oreo Update Should Come to Galaxy S7, A7, A3 and Tab S3

Android Oreo updates still have a long way to go until they will become available for all smartphones. However, it is important to notice that progress is being made. Recently, Android 8.0 Oreo beta was completed for the Samsung Galaxy S8, and not it appears that Samsung will focus on other phones as well.

According to some reports, the next Samsung devices that will receive the update are the Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, as well as Galaxy A5 and A3 (2017) and Galaxy S3. This would be a big update, since most users have been waiting for Oreo for quite some time.

New information

The reports that seem to indicate which Samsung devices will receive the update have appeared on fansites like GalaxyClub and SamMobile. Therefore, it is very likely that this information is correct. However, while we do know that Samsung is probably preparing the update for these devices, we have no clear release date.

We also know that Samsung Galaxy S8 still has to receive the final Oreo version, and this should happen really soon. Samsung users are also waiting for other important updates. For example, Samsung has not released the update for the Galaxy Note 8. The only news we received for that was back in December, when its test firmware was leaked. It is hard to say when this updates will become available, and there are no official details revealed by Samsung.

When it comes to the Galaxy S6, it is hard to say if this phone will ever receive Android 8.0 Oreo. Usually, Samsung gives two major Android updates to its flagships, and the Galaxy S6 already received its upgrades, considering the fact that it was released with Android 5.0.2. Lollipop.
