Some iOS users just love to have full access to their system. But Apple has some limits to their iOS, restricting their users from fully customizing or tweaking the software according to their own needs.
That’s where Jailbreaking makes it all possible, while also keeping the same operating system. By jailbreaking the iOS, you can have full control and add some customizations to the software.
The latest iOS that can be jailbroken is iOS 11, up to iOS 11.1.2, using tools like Electra and LiberiOS. However, there was an issue: Cydia didn’t get updated to the latest iOS version, so users could just jailbreak their iPhones or iPads and that would be all. But the purpose of jailbreaking was to get all the tweaks and tools from Cydia.
Cydia Will Be Available for iOS Soon – But there Might Be a Problem…
Cydia will soon come to iOS 11, but not from the same release source. The developer of Electra Jailbreak, CoolStar, has been preparing the release of his jailbreak for all iOS versions from iOS 11 to iOS 11.1.2. CoolsStar has also stated that Cydia is almost finished for iOS 11 and it will soon arrive. Here is what he tweeted: ‘As for Cydia; just waiting for @Jaywalker to give me the APT fork and we’re ready!’
Jaywalker has responded to the tweet and stated that the APT for iOS 11 is ready, so the jailbreak App Store will soon be available.
This news is great for the jailbreak community, since they’ve been waiting to get their hands on an iOS 11 jailbreak with Cydia support. For those that want to install tweaks that required payment, we have some bad news. Until the developer of Cydia, Saurik, will release the official version of Cydia, users will have to do with just the free content.
