Netflix has partnered up with DreamWorks Animation Television and they will deliver to us six original Series next year. This was officially announced by the companies on 12 December.
The first series that gets to be released will be a follow up on ‘Trolls’, called ‘Trolls: The Beat Goes On’. We will see it released on Jan. 19 on Netflix.

- ‘Trolls: The Beat Goes On’ – Release Date: 19 January, 2018
We will see the Troll Village and the little trolls continuing their adventures. New original songs will come out and we’ll hear Skylar Astin and Amanda Leighton as the voices of Branch and Poppy. The Executive Producer is Matthew Beans.
- ‘She-Ra’, 2018
The author and executive producer Noelle Stevenson, who also got an Eisner Award presents us a fantasy series which focuses on the female power icon of the ‘80s. Expect to see a warrior princess and an epic tale on friendship and power.
- ‘The Boss Baby: Back in Business’
Boss Baby will continue his job with his brother’s help. His main concern is to balance his personal life and work hours to maintain his career. Brandon Sawyer, who got an Emmy award is the executive producer for this original series.
- ‘Harvey Street Kids’
Prepare for infinite Saturdays on the Harvey Street, surrounded by the Harvey girls, who are the block’s guardians and BFFs. Every afternoon is an adventure with them! The executive producer is Brendan Hay and Aliki Theofilopoulos is the supervising producer.
5. ’The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants’
Dav Pilkey books get turned into an original series that follows two best friends’ adventures. George Beard and Harold Hutchins have bonded after finding out that they both like pranking, reading comic books and annoying Principal Krupp. The series will have Peter Hastings as the executive producer.
- ‘Trollhunters’ (3) and ‘3 Below’ (2nd part of Tales of Arcadia Trilogy)
We will see ‘Trollhunters’ Part 2 (Guillermo del Toro) exclusively on Netflix. It will premiere on Friday, December 15, and the third and last chapter series that won an Emmy will be released next year.
‘3 Below’ is the second series in the Tales of Arcadia trilogy. It will be released at the end of next year and it will tell the story of two royal teenage aliens and their bodyguard who are in trouble: their home planet is taken over by an evil dictator and as they flee, they crash in Arcadia. Its final chapter, ‘Wizards’ will debut in 2019.
Guillermo del Toro with Marc Guggenheim are the creators and the executive producers of ‘Trollhunters’.
