January 2018 is the release date for Samsung’s newest Galaxy A-series. Android Police has uploaded a user manual of Galaxy A8 and some features have been revealed. Although there are plenty of things and details unknown, it appears that the phones will come with dual frontal cameras.
More rumors on Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8 Plus
As mentioned, the South Korean company has not mentioned yet all the specifications and features. There are many rumors and speculations going around, including that there will be dual front-facing cameras for selfie lovers. If that were to be true, the next logical question would be: How many megapixels?
According to the manual, the phones will have 18:9 aspect ratio, slim bezels and a rear fingerprint sensor just below the camera.
The position of the fingerprint sensor suggests that Samsung realized that the previous position was less accessible, such as in the case of Samsung Note 8.
Both smartphones will use Android 7.1.1 Nougat as their operating system and also provide support for Samsung Pay and Bixby. There is also expected that the earphone jack and USB-C charger pot will remain just as in previous models.
Samsung series: an indicator of features and specs
Samsung has several phone series: S, A, E, C, Note and J. The Galaxy A series consists of upper-mid range smartphones and so far there has been Galaxy A3, A5 and A7. The last two featured sleek aluminum frames and light weights.
The Galaxy S series is the premium line and it began in 2010. Even if it is the priciest line, the high quality smartphones are worth it.
The Galaxy C series consists of mid to upper-mid phones with beautiful design. The economic line can be considered the Galaxy J series.
