Android Pie Based EMUI 9 Beta is Now Available for Huawei Mate 10, Huawei P20/P20 Pro, Honor 10 and Honor Play

Today at IFA trade show Huawei finally announced Android 9 Pie based EMUI 9 Beta programme for Huawei Mate 10, Huawei P20/P20 Pro, Honor 10 and Honor Play devices. Users of these devices can now join the EMUI 9 beta by signing up for the Beta programme for the Friendly User Test. However, the beta reportedly is limited to only 100 users per country as of now. So, not everyone would be able to try the new EMUI based on Android 9 Pie on their Huawei devices.

List of Eligible Huawei Devices for the Android 9 Pie Based EMUI 9 Beta Programme.

Below is the list of eligible Huawei and Honor devices for which the beta programme is available now.

  • Huawei Mate 10
  • Huawei Mate 10 Pro
  • Huawei P20
  • Huawei P20 Pro
  • Honor 10
  • Honor View 10
  • Honor Play

How to Sign Up for the EMUI 9 Beta Programme

Users of any of the above-listed devices can join the EMUI 9 beta programme by following the steps below.

  1. Go to Huawei’s Friendly User Test (FUT) website.
  2. Download the beta app.
  3. Sign up for an account, if you haven’t you can create one account by using your real email or mobile phone number.
  4. After signing up, start spp >> login >> select “Personal” “Join Project” “Available Project”.
  5. Now you will find the EMUI 9 beta program to sign up.

That’s it, now you should receive the HOTA (Huawei’s Over the Air update) notification automatically, then you can finally select to update your phone.

Huawei Mate 20, 20 Pro and Mate 20 Lite will be launched on October 16.
