Sony is reportedly expected to launch the new Xperia XZ3 flagship smartphone at IFA 2018. We have also seen several leaks and render CAD images of the upcoming Sony Xperia XZ3 in past few days. But now it seems that Sony Mobile is aiming for the launch of its Next Generation Model of First 5G Compatible Xperia XZ4 in January 2019.
According to the Korean site, Clien report, Qualcomm will start mass delivery of its next-generation Snapdragon 855 SoC in March 2019 on the other hand, DoCoMo and SoftBank are also expected to be working to bring the world’s first 5G commercialization service.
According to the source, Sony has asked Qualcomm to provide its latest Snapdragon 855 chips faster on an earlier date because it has plans to announce its next-generation model of Xperia in January, which is most likely expected to be the Xperia XZ4 Smartphone, following the final release date to February 2019 at MWC.
To recall, earlier this year, Qualcomm announced the X50 modem chip corresponding to the 5G network and listed 19 partners including Sony on the list.
The Korean site has also mentioned the 5G tariff rates of Docomo after the commencement of 5G service, according to which the basic charge of 500 yen for the 15 GB plan at 6700 yen.
For a two-year contract, the rate will be 4696 yen and that the basic royalty of 500 yen will be exempt. Also, when data usage in 5G communication exceeds 15 GB limit, the speed will be reduced to 400 kbps.
