iPad Pro 2018 Could Arrive Without the 3.5mm Jack and the iPhone 6.1 LCD Model With “FULL ACTIVE” Display

New rumours are coming on the next iPad Pro (2018 model) that might come without the 3.5mm Jack and the iPhone 2018 and the iPhone 2018 6.1 LCD model with “FULL ACTIVE” display.

Citing sources from the production chain, Japanese blog Mac Otakara reported this information that the iPad Pro 2018 (10.5-inch) (2nd generation) can be reduced to become 247.5mm (H) x 178.7mm (W) x 6mm (T).

The blog shared an iPad Pro (12.9-inch) illustration image (see below) talking about the dimensions that the new 10.5-inch Ipad Pro will measure 247.5 mm in height, 178.7 mm in width and 6 mm in thickness, compared to the current dimensions of 250.6 mm x 174, 1 mm x 6.1 mm.

As for the 12.9-inch version, the blog claims that it will measure 280 mm in height, 215 mm in width and 6.4 mm in thickness, compared to current measurements of 305.7 mm x 220.6 mm x 6.9 mm.

The report also reveals the new iPad may not come with the classic Home key, including a TrueDepth camera system for FaceID. Mac Otakara suggests that the 3.5 mm headphone jack will also disappear on the iPad, opting in this case also on Lighting or Bluetooth solutions.

As for the 2018 iPhone, the affordable iPhone model with a 6.1 LCD display will arrive with a “FULL ACTIVE” display which has a four-sided narrow frame, and the 3rd generation “Japan Pixel Eyes”.

However, these reports are only based on rumours/speculations and are not officially confirmed by Apple. So we are advising our readers to take it with a grain of salt.
