Smart Displays, a step towards bringing the Google Assistant to an interactive screen will go on sale in major U.S. retail and online stores this weekend.
Lenovo has become the first partner of Google for the Smart Displays. It brings all the services of Google via Google Assistant found on mobile devices such as Maps, YouTube, Calendar, Duo and Photos, presented in a visual and helpful way.
The display helps in reading news, podcasts or audiobooks and also help in browsing and finding the perfect song, album, or playlist. You can also make video calls using the Google Duo app to connect with your family and friends.
Google said it will bring more partners for Smart Displays, including JBL and LG, coming soon.
Lenovo Smart Display Features and Specifications
The Lenovo Smart Display comes in two display sizes, 8-inch with HD (1280 x 800) screen and 10-inch with Full HD (1920 x 1200) resolution. It is powered by an Octa-Core A53 Qualcomm Snapdragon 624 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz.
It has got 2GB of RAM and up to 4 GB of flash (eMMC) memory. A 5-megapixel front camera has been given for video calls. For connectivity, 2 x 2 WiFi 802.11 ac, 2.4G/5G, MIMO, Bluetooth has been given.
Right now, it has a limited number of apps like YouTube, Google Duo, Google Photos, and Spotify.
Lenovo Smart Display Price and Availability
As mentioned earlier, the Lenovo Smart Display comes in two display sizes and colours: the 8-inch and 10-inch. The price of 8-inch HD version is $199.99, while the 10-inch Full-HD version priced at $249.99. Both models come with a full-range 10-watt speaker for loud and clear audio.
It is available offline and online at Walmart, BestBuy, Amazon, Costco, SamsClub, Lenovo online store and other stores.
