Recently, Fahad Mustafa mocked a girl named Farheen who showed him a sketch she drew from him.
Fahad Mustafa held the sketch and showed it to the audience, asking if he really looks so bad. He also referred indirectly to her ke dobara nahi banana . The girl seemed pretty excited when she held the sketch. But after listening to what Fahad Mustafa had to say about this, she lost that tension on her face.
If we dwell on the sketch, it is actually pretty cute. If you ask me, that sketch seems like Fahad Mustafa. The important question here is: why do celebrities think it's good to be ashamed of people in one way or another? We are aware of mental illnesses such as depression, but can we talk about the events that lead to self-hatred? Itna mushkil kaam hai kya, to keep the spirits of a child high?
Pakistanis saw this and raised their voices. MangoBaaz also got the chance to have a conversation with Farheen and her mother.
Farheen's mother has told us that Farheen is a 13-year-old girl known as the brilliant child in her family. She scores very well on her exams and is very enthusiastic about her future. She likes to make cards on special occasions for her friends and family. She is a shy girl, but when she talks, she jokes because she likes to make people smile.
She has been rewarded time and time again for her genius.
We asked Farheen how she felt when Fahad Mustafa joked her drawing. This is what she said:
"Thori si shameful feeling ayi thi. Laiken jab ghar gayi aur mujhe meri friends ne bola, tou mujhe zyada bura laga tha."
Farheen did not really feel at that moment. But when she came home and remembered what had happened, she felt humiliated. Her friends said things to her that made her feel insulted on national television.
The mother of Farheen, however, claims that her daughter is a positive girl and will continue to sign.
"He has the power, he does not regard the guests as human beings in his show, this is what happens when people get too much power," said Farheen's mother.
She also told an incident in which a man came on stage and Fahad said, "Tum apne ape ko larka samajhte ho? Name kya hai tumhara? When Fahad got the name" Shadmaan ", he said : "Yeh kaisa name hai?"
Farheen's mother talked about the flagrant fat shaming, naming and general demoralization that was performed in the show.
She told us about when she went to Jeeto Pakistan for Ramazan. The mother let her youngest child walk around on the stage but the management came to her and asked her to pick up her child, otherwise they would change the seats of her family. We were asked if it was fair that the children of Fahad Mustafa roam freely on stage, but not our children.
Farheen received a scholarship from the Ilma University, for which they also completed the forms. She also received a fully financed IBA scholarship for a summer course of her choice and the same was also offered by LUMS.
"Mujhe acha lag raha hai kay mera talent recognizes ho raha hai, most important LUMS jaungi probably Baba bhi yehi chahtay hain," Farheen says.
Farheen is apparently also asked by a company to make a sketch for them and that they will pay her for it. Farheen's mother unfortunately could not remember the name of the company.
Farheen is enthusiastic about these great opportunities she has received. She now thinks about which one to follow.
When asked if she had a message for Fahad Mustafa, this is what she said:
"Meri Fahad bhai se koi request toh nahi hai.Lawking woh agar meri drawing ko aisay bolein gay, toh main Doctor kean banoongi? Doctor banne k liye aukko thori history chahie hoti hai nah . "
Moreover, her mother says that although people raise their voice against the humiliation of her daughter, Fahad Mustafa still does not realize the damage he has done.
He has not thought about the fact that people are fooling her and recognizing her as the "girl who made the drawing".
"Fahad Mustafa must realize his mistakes and change his habits to ridicule people coming to his show," she says. "To apologize on national television is not a big problem, but Farheen will have to undergo the consequences of his words."
Do you think Fahad Mustafa should apologize on national television? Let us know in the comments!
