The notification said:
We would like to inform you that the board of directors of Shell Pakistan Limited Mr. Haroon Rashid has appointed Chief Executive of Shell Pakistan Limited with effect from July 1, 2018.
He is currently employed as general manager lubricants for Shell Pakistan. He joined the company in 1995 and has worked on various functions over the years.
Earlier, on April 16, another notification sent by Shell to the PSX reported that the current Chief Executive of the company, Jawwad Ahmed Cheema, will be transferred to another position within the Shell group, with effect from July 1, 2018.
Haroon Rashid at Shell
From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Haroon was appointed to the retail activities of Shell in Pakistan. Then, in 2001, he took a break to finish his MBA at INSEAD, after which he later joined Shell as a consultant in the downstream management consultancy in London.
Fast forward to 2005 and Mr. Haroon was appointed as the downstream expert for competition. Manager, also in London, before moving to Singapore in 2008, now working as Global Marketing Manager for Aviation.
Thereafter, Mr. Haroon worked in 2011-2016 as the fuel Supply Chain General Manager for Shell in Pakistan
