Meizu had introduced the Meizu 15 and 15 Plus earlier today in China, though the rumored Meizu 15 Lite aka Meizu M15 did not make an appearance at the press event. Having said that, Meizu reached out to us to confirm that the Meizu 15 Lite aka M15 is coming, and it will be called the 15 Lite. The device will not be available in China it seems, which is why it was not announced during the press event in China, but it will become available in other markets around the world, markets that Meizu is selling its devices in.

Now, along with confirming that the Meizu 15 Lite is coming, the company also confirmed its specifications, but before we get to that, it’s worth noting that it will look the same as the other two Meizu 15-branded devices, though it will sport a single camera on the back, unlike the Meizu 15 and 15 Plus. The Meizu 15 Lite will be made out of metal, while it will sport the company’s multifunctional mTouch button below its display, which will double as the fingerprint scanner. The company has also confirmed that it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 626 64-bit octa-core processor, while it will ship with Meizu’s all-new Flyme 7 UI. The device will also include 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage, while a 3,000mAh non-removable battery will be included in the package as well. The phone will be 72mm wide, while its side bezels will be only 1.175mm thick, just like on the Meizu 15 and 15 Plus.

The Meizu 15 Lite will ship with a 12-megapixel shooter on the back, and it will be able to focus on a subject in 0.026 seconds, says Meizu. A 20-megapixel shooter will be included on the phone’s front side, just like on the Meizu 15 and 15 Plus, while a 3,000mAh battery will ship on the inside of the Meizu 15 Lite. The phone will feature a 5.46-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, and weigh 145 grams. The Meizu 15 Lite will be available in Black, Gold and Red color variants, and it will feature facial recognition tech just like the Meizu 15 and 15 Plus. The company also confirmed that the device will be priced at around $270, depending on the market you purchase it in. That is more or less all the info that we have when it comes to the Meizu 15 Lite for the time being, we still do not know when will the phone become available for purchase, nor in which markets exactly will it be available, but chances are it will go on sale in the coming weeks.
